Wages Protection System (WPS) for domestic workers is an electronic salary transfer system that allows individuals to pay wages via banks, exchange houses, and financial institutions approved and authorized to provide the service.
WPS was developed by the UAE Central Bank and has enabled the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) to establish a database of wage payments in the private sector (example: housemaids, private drivers, cooks, gardeners, private tutors, private trainers, sailors, household shepherds, etc.) and monitor employers' compliance with paying wages in full and on time. The system helps reduce labour disputes and provides protect to both employers and employees.
To be eligible, DIB customers must be registered with MoHRE and maintain an active AED personal bank account with DIB with online banking facility.

Key Requirements for registration:
Contract Registration: The Customer & domestic worker must have a valid employment contract registered via the MoHRE Domestic Worker Services.
The worker is required to have an AED bank account in DIB or any another bank within the UAE. A prepaid card from an exchange house, or a digital wallet are not supported through DIB's WPS service.
